Food Drive aka Karuna Seva 

Serving the underprivileged and hungry with compassion! Karuna means compassion, Seva is service. SMVA Charity volunteers serve their fellow human beings with compassion and selfless service.

SMVA Charity coordinates local food drives to help our neighbors in need. Volunteers join hands to both prepare and distribute nutritious meals to the homeless and the underprivileged through Karuna Seva in Canada.

Our members are dedicated to collecting food for the underprivileged, especially to assist their needs in all seasons. Volunteers maintain the highest standards of food safety.

In difficult economic times, our “Seva” initiative partners with Knights Table, Salvation Army and other philanthropic organizations to meet the needs of the growing population of hungry. We are dedicated to collecting food for the underprivileged, especially to assist their needs in all seasons. For those living with food insecurity and without regular access to affordable, nutritious fresh food, SMVA Charity through the Karuna Seva is not only a critical supply of food but also fosters a stronger sense of community and social responsibility.
