In difficult economic times, our “Seva” initiative partners with Knights Table, Salvation Army and other philanthropic organizations to meet the needs of the growing population of hungry. We are dedicated to collecting food for the underprivileged, especially to assist their needs in all seasons.
Education for All - Amma’s two schools offer free education to hundreds of children who would otherwise be confined to a life of daily labor. And while most of these children are the first in their families to ever go to school, their scores rank well above state averages.
Healthcare for All - Several times a year, SMVA Trust hosts health fairs or "medical camps" as they are known locally, which can last anywhere from a few days to a week or longer. During these camps, physicians from around the world often visit the hospital to volunteer their services.
